"Homeboy" is dedicated to the memory of my friend, Enrique Nunez. Enrique was born and raised in Echo Park, a neighborhood northwest of downtown Los Angeles, where he lived and worked as a freelance pattern maker in the garment industry. In the years I knew him, Enrique was a caring and kind individual, and an endless source of laughter. He was enthusiastic about being interviewed for the film, but passed away before production began.
